Its one and two star share is 6 points above the typical installer in the Minneapolis area. Across Minnesota, 17 of the 68 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 457 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in the Minneapolis area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★25%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Minneapolis area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Everlight Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

They have the most obnoxious door to door salesboys. Seriously, why would anyone do business with such shady and slimy sales tactics? I should have asked to see their solicitors permit. I doubt they had one. These guys suck.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Door to door salesperson was rude, pushy, and launched into his memorized speech 5 times despite me telling him I wasn’t interested in taking the meeting and had my daughters dance lesson to get her to. Tried proving he wasn’t a salesperson by sarcastically asking if I saw him with any solar panels. Will go with anyone but everlight if I decide to get solar in the future

Your door to door salesmen are rude, don't have the proper solicitors permit, and refuse to take no for an answer.

After the installation l noticed lot of scraches on my doors due to ladder. Planning installation was really hard. Lot of cancellations. And beside the system is still not functional yet.

Mitch and Presley arrived right on time. They kept us well informed during the very efficient installation. The system looks great. Thanks for all of your hard work!

Jenna was very knowledgeable and helpful in getting my ECU connected and working again. Excellent customer service.

Professional, fast. As stated that the group of workers know how to do there jobs efficiently and it was great to get to be an all solar home.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“solar panels that you own. 3. 25-year Warranty We monitor your solar system and back…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on TikTok, X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
