Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in the New York area. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 15 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the New York area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Accord Power Inc is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I just had solar panels installed on my home by Accord Power, and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Jesse was incredible! From the very beginning, he made sure I understood every step and was always there when I had questions, no matter how small. They took care of everything, from the permits to sorting out the government incentives, which made the whole process much easier for me. It really felt like they had my back the entire time. If you're thinking about going solar, I can't recommend Accord Power and their team enough!

These guys are really good at what they do. They installed the system on our warehouse facility in 4 months from contract to commissioning. They were very attentive about keeping us in the know. I can't say that we had a single problem through the whole process. We run a day time operation so our electric bill is basically nothing this summer. Highly recommended.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“Incentives We offer multiple financing options including PACE, custom loans, power…”

  • Established

“from putting our customers first since 2009. A minority owned local company, API…”

  • Years in business

“family owned EPC solar developer with over 14 years of experience in the industry. We’re…”

  • Insured

“installation. Fully licensed and insured to handle all your solar and energy…”

  • Licensed

“scale electrical installation. Fully licensed and insured to handle all your solar…”

Its website also mentions family owned, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
