Its one and two star share is 10 points above the typical installer in Pittsburgh. Across Pennsylvania, 23 of the 146 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 91 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in Pittsburgh, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in Pittsburgh whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Ambia - Pennsylvania is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Stay away. We were lied to. We asked multiple times how was this free they repeated multiple times they received a grant that we would be duquesne lights supplier that's how it would save us every month. Its a lie you will pay!!!

Shoty work. Product looks like crap. Installer was not trained. Admitted so himself. Lied to me about having to change the install date due to equipment being late do to government shut. The supplies were delivered the day before the first install date. Contract was to include lights on the ridgeline of the roof. “We don’t put lights up there.”, per installer. Very unprofessional encounter. I’d rather put up and take down lights every year instead of looking at these ugly things.

Our system was installed July 30th and as of October 17th, we are still waiting for activation. First billing is November 3rd. So to say we’re disappointed is an understatement.

The reason for the average rating is NOT regarding the actual service call and the technician's work on my electrical panel. That part of today's appointment was good. Gary handled the breaker install needed to pass inspection in an efficient and prompt manner. However, the scheduling process needs revamped to correct communication problems. I waited for a 7am-9am appointment today until 1:30pm! And, today wasn't the first time I waited on either a late or a no show appointment. Today was the third appointment that Ambia was either late or a no show! Please consider initiating better channels

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
