Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in the Pittsburgh area. Across Pennsylvania, 37 of the 146 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 63 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

0% rated 1–2★30%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Pittsburgh area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Pennsylvania Solar Energy Co Inc. is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

ZERO STARS. Had an installation of 55 panels and a battery backup system. The installation took nearly 2 years to complete. THEN maintenance calls were WEEKS to MONTHS getting resolved. We DO NOT RECOMMEND. Numerous issues throughout project, too many to list!!!!

We have been pleased with our solar panels. The sales people and installers were professional. However the payback period was exaggerated and will be longer than they estimated. We were also disappointed that they would not tell us how to bypass the system or part of it and use battery storage on our own in the event of a major crisis and an extended power outage.

Andrew Suttmiller was helpful and knowledgeable.

  • 5★ · around May 2026

Hameed, my rep, was excellent. He explained everything in an easy to understand Manor, and everything he said was truthful. The crew who installed the solar panels were professional and quick. I am so glad I got solar panels through Trinity Solar.

My husband and I decided to look into solar panels for our home. Not knowing what to expect, AJ and his buddy came over and explained the whole process to us in an honest and easy to understand way. We decided to give it a try. So pleased with the professionalism of Trinity Solar from day one. Best part, we are already seeing a huge difference on our electric bill and saving money! GO SOLAR WITH AJ AND TRINITY!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“panel installations and our 25-year warranty. Where can we install? You can depend…”

  • Family owned

“Solar Energy Company is a family owned business since 1999, providing home…”

  • Established

“Powering today for a better tomorrow Since 1999, we've been focusing on…”

  • Years in business

“return on your investment. With more than 40 years of experience in the solar power…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
