Each mark is one company we hold in Pittsburgh whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. VRGN Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Had a great experience with Matt he was there every step of the way and was able to explain any questions I had. Install went smooth and all 53 panels are up and running great!

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with VRGN Solar and owner Matt Miller. From the very beginning, Matt did an outstanding job organizing and managing every aspect of our solar installation project. The entire process was professional, well-coordinated, and completed exactly as promised. Our solar panels are now online, and it’s a great feeling knowing that my family is already saving money on our electric bills. As an added bonus, Matt paid our first three months of power bills and is also providing us with a $100 gift card. Those gestures really demonstrate his commitment to customer s

I had a great experience working with VRGN Solar. Unlike other companies that use high-pressure sales tactics, VRGN took a very transparent and educational approach. They walked me through the difference between owning a system and their monthly solar options, which made it much easier to decide what worked for my budget. They are clearly experts in the Pittsburgh market and understand how to design systems that actually work with our local weather. Highly recommend if you want an honest look at solar.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions family owned, years in business and better business bureau, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Pittsburgh is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
