Its one and two star share is 7 points above the typical installer in the Pittsburgh area. Across Pennsylvania, 28 of the 146 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 164 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Pittsburgh area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Trinity Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I have been very disappointed with them. I started the process last summer. The manager came and walked around my house and said my roof was fine. He did not go on the roof to check it out. When the team showed up to install the solar the team manager was very annoyed because he said the roof was too old. So I had to get a new roof. Then we rescheduled the installation. After their being late by more than an hour the manager said there was a mix up and I was taken off the schedule. They want you home all day during installation. So now I have to plan another day where I can sit around all day.

But the trinity solar and roofing salesman explicitly told us it happens all the time, and the roof will still carry all of the warranty that they said. So we trusted this company, first problem was when the roofing materials showed up to our house in the middle of a rain storm. I explicitly asked the trinity solar salesman and the project concierge if this stuff needed t

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
