Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Pittsburgh. Across Pennsylvania, 59 of the 146 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 58 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Each mark is one company we hold in Pittsburgh whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Green Rack Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around August 2026 · the company replied

We highly recommend Green Rack Solar! We are an affected party of Powerhome/pink energy, and were very nervous to trust our solar panels to another company. We worked directly with Logan and he was great! The quote for panel removal and reinstallation was very reasonable when compared to other quotes we received. He communicated well and always returned my messages or calls promptly.

We recently had Green Rack install our solar panels and we couldn’t be happier! From the time I was inquiring to the installation we had nothing but a fantastic experience. Joseph was our main contact person and he was very prompt, friendly, and even showed up to our install. I would recommend them to anyone looking at solar options.

Scott and his team has been great! Our project went smoothly and everything was installed quickly. Now we wait for our power company to switch out our meters! Can't wait to have everything turned on. Thanks again!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“your home. 2. Engineering & Design Licensed professionals assess the structural…”

Its website also mentions financing and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and X. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
