Its one and two star share is 37 points above the typical installer in Nevada. Across Nevada, 2 of the 81 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Never work with these people. They are liars. Mistakes made left and right. It’s been a year and we still aren’t connected to the grid. They do not respond to phone calls and ghost you, especially if you paid upfront. They got their money and are done with you. Unprofessional business practices and total scammers. They tell you what you want to hear when selling you on the system. RUN don’t walk away.

AO Energy sold My father a solar system using software they provided calculating the Kilowatt usage shown on his power bill history. This 20 panel system was also paired with a battery back up system. It has been 2 years since the solar system was installed and it still has yet to function as advertised. Greg Atchley, one of the collective owners of AO Energy came out to my fathers house on 7/28/2022 to investigate the issue because Sunworks, who installed the system said everything should be functioning properly and it must be the Pomcube Battery that AO Energy manufactures. Easy to understand the process. Timeline and expectations were explained and consistent.

My experience with AO has been a positive one. Working with Angel has been pleasant and easy. He's very responsive and great about keeping you up on the steps of the process. I'm excited to get my solar system up and running.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
