Poor customer service. They now say that they won’t work on any other system unless they installed it. They over charge anyways. Google the lawsuits and bbb reviews. If you have a solar edge system then join the service plan offered and steer clear of this business.

They were very responsive when selling and planning the product. The installers were good to work with too. However, their customer service once the product was installed is really bad. You have to reach out to them repeatedly to get any type of response. It's very frustrating. I would not do business with them again.

My roof asphalt shingles need replacement after just 15 years. I contacted Apex for a quote to remove the panels and then replace after new roof is on. Myself and everyone I talked to figured $4-5k for a reasonable price. The quote they gave me was $21k+. Does anyone besides me feel this is insane? Everyone does. They basically take the money and RUN. They either DON’T want your business or figure they got you by the balls and you have to pay it. Heads up people. The ONLY thing they’re getting from me is this review. If you ever plan on getting a solar system on your roof consider this and LOO

Great job with installation at a fair price. However, if you ever need service, there is a $600+ fee to get them to come to your house, half of which you pay when you schedule the service even though the earliest they could visit the site …

This review is long overdue, but about a year and a half ago I had some questions for Apex Energy Tek about a purchase I was looking to make as part of a self-install of an EVSE. Apex was so helpful, specifically Abraham and Peter. I promised them an update and a review to express my gratitude and need to apologize for taking so long. The install went great and Apex was integral! Highly recommend! Thanks again!

“Quick, effective problem-solving” 1 2 3 4 5 I noticed a failure of our solar panels to communicate with the SolarEdge monitoring portal. Phil Oakes at Apex responded with advice on how to perform a "power cycle" on the Inverter. It took a day and a half for the procedure to work, but it did. Phil's messages were clear, thorough, and easy to follow. He answered all questions in a professional manner. Happily, the problem did not interrupt the transmission of power from the panels to our electric utility. Myles Weintraub Germantown NY

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate and years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• Google also lists this company under roofing. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
• It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
