Its one and two star share is 6 points above the typical installer in the Rocklin area. Across California, 413 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 22 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Rocklin area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Apricot Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

It was night mare working with this guys. They said they have enough experience in installing in California but trust me they dont. All they do is sell your contact to Freedom forever or other companies and after that no one even cares about the status. you name it , they messed up every stage . got the wrong permit, installation is not per california energy standards, due to this city keeps rejecting. Cant you follow atleast basic things before you install solar, Roseville City Inspectors are frustated when they come for the insepection. No one takes resposbility , they sell and you are on yo

I will currently leave this section as this. If I don't hear from someone with authority or who can take action, I'll just post my story here...Freedom Forever was the company but they are actually Apricot Solar.

I've worked with many solar companies over the last decade and Apricot Solar is different. They have a unique model that allows their reps to offer extremely competitive pricing. I would definitely recommend!

used Apricot solar for my home. Josh Wyles was my sales guy. he is very knowledgeable, and was able to make the numbers make sense. Power is pretty cheap in Idaho but he still beat all of the other companies I talked to. Now no more power bill and my solar payment is much less than than my old power bill. I highly recommend Apricot and Josh.

My interactions with Apricot staff have been positive. Eric has been very responsive to my concerns.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“24/7 power for you and your family, guaranteed. By switching to solar, you own your…”

  • 24/7 availability

“fast, and you get more than enough 24/7 power for you and your family,…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
