Its one and two star share is 4 points above the typical installer in Kansas City. Across Missouri, 41 of the 114 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 243 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Kansas City whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Astrawatt Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

A correction from a company named below

Review text published below names Fidelis Renewables and describes this business as being operated by it. Fidelis Renewables has written to us to say that is wrong.

It says the two are separate and independent companies, and that Fidelis Renewables is not Astrawatt Solar, is not a DBA of it, does not own or operate it, and is not its corporate successor. It says it carried out work as an authorised contractor for Astrawatt Solar for a limited period in late 2025, and that this was not an acquisition, a merger, or a transfer of ownership.

We have not verified any of that, and we have not changed a word of what the reviewers wrote. It is published here because a company is the best authority on its own ownership, and because the review text it concerns is on this page.

THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY - DO NOT BUY FROM ASTRAWATT - NO SERVICE WARRANTY. While I was originally happy with my installation, about 14 months into my ownership I had a micro inverter go out. No big deal I thought, enphase was quick to send a new one, but Astrawatt went through some business restructuing and now for service calls you have to pay upfront. Ok I thought, how do I get reimbursed? 2 months, 8 calls, and multiple email attempts later, NO ONE will tell me how to get reimbursed. The local service office said Corporate appears to have dropped all their existing customers. That

We got left high and dry without warning by these guys in Kansas City. Now I'm stuck try to figure out who to go to now that I'm having issues with my solar system.

I’d give zero stars if it was an option… **see edit below. I added a star for what appears to be a quality product with abysmal communication and follow through. We started the process with Astrawatt Solar (of Kansas City? Of St. Louis? I’m still unclear about which office we officially worked with because they passed us back and forth so many times) in March 2025. The installation was scheduled for the end of May 2025, got moved to the end of June because of the STL tornado and Ameren availability. In June 2025, 2 electricians from KC worked on my house for 2 days, couldn’t complete their por

I wanted to give them a 5. They didn’t earn it. I recommend RisingSun Solar. This is because the many positives outweigh the few issues I experienced. My background is in engineering and I was general contractor on my home. From initial contact to the installation RisingSun Solar was a 5. I looked up the material they specified and it was among the highest rated. They answered all my questions and provided me with information I requested. RisingSun kept to the schedule they provided at the beginning. When the material arrived, there were some problems. The order was not complete and some of th

One thing I appreciated was how calm the technicians stayed when unexpected wiring problems showed up in our old house. Instead of rushing or blaming previous electricians, they explained the issue clearly and fixed it properly. The setup looks neat and doesn’t make the roof look cluttered.

After 10 years of having solar panels, we decided to get a back up battery installed. We received multiple bids from several companies and decided to go with Astrawatt now operated by Fidelis Renewables. I dealt with Alex and from start to finish, the entire transaction went smoothly. He was patient with my endless questions and concerns. He provided me with multiple battery options and we opted for the Tesla Powerwall. During the process, we also decided to upgrade our electrical panel to a Span smart electrical panel. If you're considering upgrading your electrical panel, you should check ou

My experience with Astrawatt, now operated by Fidelis Renewables, has been nothing short of excellent. From the very beginning, the process felt smooth and well-coordinated. The team was clearly knowledgeable and completely transparent, which made the entire installation feel effortless on my end. Communication was consistent and easy to follow, and the final walkthrough was especially helpful—everything from using the app to understanding what to monitor for the best performance was explained clearly. I feel genuinely confident about the future of my home’s energy setup and look forward to co

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
