Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in the Kansas City area. Across Missouri, 51 of the 114 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 189 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I am a proud client of the Solar Guys. I was looking into getting solar panels about 15 months ago for my home but had lots of questions and wanted to make sure I "got it right". I started off meeting with Pete, my Energy Consultant. I had hundreds of questions and I spent weeks discussing every last detail. At all times Pete K. was patient with me and went above and beyond answering every last question. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured to make a decision but I finally decided I would move forward with the agreed system. Next, I spoke with Eric T. regarding the install schedule and th

The Solar Guys are top notch, top to bottom. They answered any questions we had, gave us assistance with our energy provider before any contract was agreed to or signed, were patient throughout the entire process, and the installation was efficient and fast. Kyle, Jerome, Hunter, and George did a wonderful job with the install. And Brian was a pleasure to work with throughout. Very satisfied with the whole process and end result. Highly recommend!

Working with the solar guys was easy and transparent, I would refer anyone to Scott for installing their solar project

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“right the first time around. Quality Guaranteed Quality is our top priority. We only…”
  • Family owned

“us to do what we do best. As a local family-owned and operated business, we take pride…”
  • Years in business

“in the solar industry spanning over 12 years has created a successful business.”

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
