Its one and two star share is 6 points above the typical installer in the Oklahoma City area. Across Oklahoma, 15 of the 55 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 81 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Oklahoma City area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★45%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Oklahoma City area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Clean Residential Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Genuinely terrible. When they came by my house, of them was so drunk I could smell the beer on his breath- it’s embarrassing. Are these the people you want representing your company? I will be advising others to avoid them.

Zero Accountability. shingle flu out in wind in less then one year roof is under warranty. Came out took the Shingle and left under the pretext of no glue and will comeback and it’s three weeks not replying text or phone calls. Very much expected from last years experience in past. Not change a bit.

This company told us what we wanted to hear just to close the sale. We were given very specific promises about how low our electric bills would be after going solar—and those promises were not true. After installation, our bills were significantly higher than what was represented. When we brought this up, accountability disappeared. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch sales tactic. Solar can be a great investment, but not when a company is willing to misrepresent facts to make a sale. We regret trusting them. They say there a family company too yall should be ashamed of yourselves. Yall

Kyle and his team did a great job on my roof. They where professional, easy to work with, and kept me informed throughout the process. I highly recommend Kyle and CRE

5 starts because Michael was great to work with and made the process of getting a new roof about as good as it could be. Good communication before and during, and followed up as well to make sure everything was good.

Austin and Cooper have been amazing! They’ve kept me updated on everything, worked with my insurance to make sure everything was covered and taken care of, have been extremely respectful and friendly, and I cannot recommend working with this company enough! I’ve been extremely happy with their products and their workmanship!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“your home needs today with affordable financing options designed to fit your budget. $0 down…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and family owned, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
