Curtiss Energy Group

Each mark is one company we hold in the La Jolla area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Curtiss Energy Group is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Solar panels installed by Solmar two years ago, system part went out recently, attempted to contact Solmar multiple times to come and fix the issue. Website says lifetime labor and 25 year parts. Attempted to call and text and no response from company, Beware.

Curtiss Energy put solar on my roof to generate electricity for the house. I recently bought a Hyundai all EV Kona. Curtiss Energy crew added more panels on a ground mount. Now I’m driving OFF THE SUN!!! Free Power! Freedom Power!

We hired the Curtiss team to install a chiller, and the whole process was incredibly smooth. I’d definitely bring them back for any future projects in their field. The team is honest, professional, and they actually get the job done right.

These guys were great. Fahad helped me get into solar back in 2023 and it was such a great decision. He managed the project and was able to get it done in a time crunch...truly great stuff. Clear communication and timelines...I'm a happy customer.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Warranty

  “5-10 year ROI  25 year warranty  25 year labor warranty View…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, family owned and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
