Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in South Carolina. Across South Carolina, 27 of the 101 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 39 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I was about to sign a contract with this company to have Solar Panels installed with Charles as my salesman the first time he came over to my home he presented me with a cost of 48 grand loan before all of the reimbursement credits then when he came back to talk more about the system I was presented with a 53 grand loan then when he sent me the docusign contract it went up to 78 grand I love how Charles presented himself as some kind of friend that just wanted to save me money to only scam me over this company is corrupt

Most of the five star reviews just so happen to use a lot of the same phrases, such as “get rid of your electric bill,” which makes one wonder if they’re real or not. My own experience with Expert Solar was pretty poor. I should’ve just ignored the door-to-door guy. I felt misled and frustrated and wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone.

This company is not interested in selling you a solar system that fits your needs and is purposely deceptive with zero transparency. I was quoted $20k for a 4.75kwh system. With their financing they added on another $10k of dealer fees, completely absurd. They then lied that I could get a federal rebate on the total 30k financed when the rebate is only for equipment and labor costs not added finance charges. They gave zero cost breakdown on what panels, labor, inverters or permitting so you can’t make an informed decision on how big of a system you want to build. Stay far away from this predat

I recently had the pleasure of working with Expert Solar for my home's solar installation, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the initial consultation to the final installation, every step was handled with professionalism and expertise. The team at Expert Solar was incredibly knowledgeable about solar energy and took the time to understand my specific needs and preferences. They provided clear explanations of the process, answered all my questions, and guided me through every decision. Not only was the installation process smooth and efficient, but the quality of the wo

I recently had Shine Bright Solar install solar panels on my property, and I am thrilled with the results. The installation process was smooth, and the team was efficient. The panels have significantly reduced my electricity bills, and their performance has been consistent. Overall, I highly recommend Shine Bright Solar for their professionalism and the quality of their solar solutions.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“and exceeds performance expectations. Satisfaction Guarantee We stand behind every installation…”
  • Free estimate

“How can I get a quote? Request a free consultation through our website. Our specialists…”

Its website also mentions licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on HomeAdvisor and ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
