Update 9/30/25: they charged me for work that they did not complete. They charged me for a main panel upgrade, but only completed a sub panel upgrade (which was not Agreed to nor in my contract ) and told me that that’s all I needed, but that was due to PG&E and permits. Yet, no refund for the cost difference. Emailed every address I had and called every number I have experienced along the way and absolutely no response. This was agreed to in 2022 and and it’s nearly 2026. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Worst experience and terrible customer service. Have to send 8+ follow ups to even get a respo

This company has fell off the Earth. Right now I’m getting notification that I’m having low production and I can’t get a hold of anybody. Is anybody out there?

UPDATE: It took a few more days and eventually I heard from Gold Rush. They promptly sent someone out to look at my system. They ordered the necessary part from Enphase and got back out to the house quickly after it arrived. I was told the slow down in the solar business across CA forced them to lay a lot of people off which is impacting their customer service response times. I understand that situation and appreciated that once they engaged they were professional and responsive.

I did have a former gripe about something with this guys in the past, but they have rectified that situation. This company put up my solar panels and did a great job. I recently added two Tesla Powerwalls 3’s and Gold Rush did a great job. The power walls are lovely. The employees, Cammeron & Justin were incredibly helpful in every regard. My power walls are beautiful. These guys were very professional and had a very good work ethic. I didn’t have to watch them the whole time during the install. These gentlemen were very respectful of my property. They did their very well, and they cleaned up

Contrary to what a few others have posted, they are not out of business yet. We had got our solar installed from GoldRush in July 2023 and exactly after a year of working fine, our system stopped working on beginning of August 2024. I was afraid that our inverter went bad as SolarEdge inverters are notorious for going bad. I tried contacting Gold Rush on a Saturday morning but wasn't able to reach a customer support executive. Provided my number and waited for a call but no call back. I tried again on Monday and no call back again. I checked the reviews and when I read comments about them goin

So we got off to a rocky start. Due to my own expectations. That we under satisfied in the start. But boy oh boy! They pulled it together. And here I am a very satisfied customer. I am happy to say that… these days I deal with so many companies and their employees. That frankly don’t care. Nathan explained the process. I double check with my solar manufacturer. I’m online now! This solar thing has been a hassle. Trying to find a company to take over. Ugh to say the least. Thx u thx u

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“be financing). HDM will monitor and warranty the system like a traditional PPA for…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under roofing. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
  • It posts on Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
