Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in the Fort Myers area. Across Florida, 287 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 49 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Fort Myers area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★25%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Fort Myers area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Green City Solar LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

I hired this guy to take down my solar pool heat so I could replace my roof. When it was time to put it back on, he said my system was too old. (He said nothing about this when he took it down) so I paid him $3,500 to replace the system. My roof began to leak and the roofer said the solar guy poked holes in when he replaced the system.. so I paid to have the roof fixed and asked Green City to PROPERLY anchor the system. He wanted me to pay $350 to do what should have been done right the first time. I told him I would pay him something but that $350 was too much for a repair that wasn’t install

Was very happy with the service Green City Solar provided! Robert was very friendly and professional, inspected the wiring and connections on the roof of my solar system and explained everything in detail to me. He replaced the inverter of the system and was very reasonable with his fees. I also found out he works on thermal panels which I also have. I highly recommend Green City Solar!

Very cordial, Profesional, and knowledgeable. Had the equipment up and running by the second day. Explained the equipment, how it works and what to expect. I would definitely recommend Green City Solar. No surprises except for a very happy experience. Thank you Robert

I highly recommend Robert from Green City Solar for solar water heater needs! He did a great job installing my new solar water heater, was very professional, and very helpful overall. It looks even better than the first time It was installed by a different company and will always go to Robert from now on! I highly recommend and so appreciative of all the work he did. Thank you!!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“including systems we did not install Licensed solar company covering Lee, Collier,…”

Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
