Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in the Fort Myers area. Across Florida, 340 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 370 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Nothing but a bait and switch company. I have had numerous leaks. At first, they seemed willing to take care of the problems. Supposed to be a 12 year warranty. 3 years in, they just arbitrarily start charging a service call to repair their products under the warranty. This is not part of what was in the original contract that was paid for 3 years ago. Now they want to charge for the complete repair. What happened to the warranty? BUYER BEWARE!

Stillwell installed my pool solar system. Approximately one year later several leaks occurred on my roof. Charged me for repairs of which I paid. Couple months later more roof leaks occurred. They charged me again for more repairs of which I did not approve. I would recommend not to use these people for solar heating.

Incident #1 : There was a minor PVC pipe leak and they tried to talk me into replacing the entire piping system instead of simply repairing the small section with the leak. After arguing with the tech for 20 minutes, he finally repaired the small section as requested. Don't let this company con you into replacing more than necessary, they seem to be pros at that...... Incident #2 : This company came out to fix a leak, and simply didn't fix the leak, then argued with me on the phone, I would not recommend doing business here.

I had 12 solar panels installed on my house and they’ve been great. Delivery dates and installation times were kept. I was provided updates throughout the project. Highly recommend and will use for a battery in the future.

I reached out to Stillwell and the same day Jeff emailed me back. The next day he went to my house to assess solar pool heat requirements and installation. That evening I received a quote and the next day Mickie reached out to me to sign papers regarding permit approval. Two weeks later the entire system was installed and up and running! We could not be happier. Five Stars all day! Update. I have since had routine maintenance and had to relocate the pipes for a gutter installation. Both times they sent their technician Jose out. He was in time and very professional. He represented very well. A

Quality materials and workmanship. Did exactly what they contracted for and did a great job.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“on time and deliver what we promised. Warranty: Best warranties in the industry.”

Its website also mentions established and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Maintained by its verified owner

Somebody at Stilwell Solar proved to us that they run it, so the contact details, hours and description marked as theirs on this page are their own. Being verified buys that and nothing else: it cannot change a rating, hide a review, move a company up a ranking, or take a page down — which is the only reason a good record here is worth anything.
