Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Indiana. Across Indiana, 32 of the 75 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 4 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

A+++++ Quick response, great customer service. Struggled with being able to get anyone to fix my solar panels. Modern mill solar was my company they went out of business left me to figure it out. Green guys not only came through and made quick work of it, with fair pricing! They are also very knowledgeable about solar panel systems and made suggestions to make my system better. Will use them going forward. Real deal! Thank you Green Guys (James) for showing up and resolving my issue. Solar community needs your company!

Over a year ago I had generac solar installed, the system never worked. Genarec had run me around for over a year. I called and they sent repair crew out but could not get parts and never could get it working. I found green Guy's Energy on the internet. The came out to take a look. After 15 minutes James told me what was wrong. He gave me a price and 4 days later it was working. Great people to work with. After genarec could or would not get it going. Green Guy's had it going in less than a week. And got the parts I needed that genarec said was not available.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Jasper is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
