Highlight Solar

Each mark is one company we hold in San Jose whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Highlight Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

We contracted with Highlight Solar for new two new main electrical panels, relocating the main panels, pulling 3 new water heater wires, and two 5kWDC solar systems on our duplex home in Sunnyvale. This review summarizes our experience with Highlight Solar. - Highlight walked off our project with $36k of our money and left us with an unsafe (in our opinion and the opinion of other professionals we have since engaged)and not-to-code electrical installation, part of the job (new water heater wires) completely not done, and no inspections beyond meter release passed. - Highlight said that final i

Highlight solar did a good job installing a ~10 kW system on my house which has a metal roof. The price was reasonable compared with a few competitors I got proposals from. They also did me a favor by selling at a very good price some additional panels I needed for a different project. The Highlight team's customer service and attitude that the customer is always right stands out. When we had a disagreement over fees, they waived their portion. When I asked them to make repairs, they did so for free. This flexibility and professionalism is what makes me recommend Highlight Solar!

Highlight Solar did a solid job installing my Powerwall 3. We had a minor hiccup with the initial wiring setup, but their team stepped up, came back out, and got everything dialed in exactly how I wanted it. The system is running flawlessly now, and I appreciate them making sure the job was done 100% right. Good hardware and a company that ultimately stands by their work.

We met with multiple solar companies and settled on Highlight due to both the great recommendations as well as our experience during the initial process. We asked a LOT of questions, then we asked more, and then some more. Ali remained patient and communicated thoroughly via email or phone, and at all hours. The installation process was honestly better than the sales process. The combination of Chris (the foreman who found a solution for all our requests) and his team which worked in awful weather to get our project installed on schedule were amazing. Our inspection, and final handoff were han

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
