The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 22 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Tried to get a hold of someone at this company after calling 3 times and leaving a request on their website and then One more call. They finally called back but then they blew us off three more times for more important jobs. I don't actually know if they are any good because I cannot get anyone to actually show up for a bid. Disappointed. 😒

I would not consider using anyone other than Independent Solar and Steve Schroeder for my next solar project. I have a NEM2 application that was approved on the last day, April 14th, 3 years ago with a 3 year deadline to put it in operation. My neighbor did not want me to put my arrays on my property, where he could see them from his house. He suggested I put them in a better spot that happened to be on his property and we could swap some land to make it happen. It took almost the entire 3 years to formalize the land swap, and it's still not recorded, but I decided to try to build the system b

I have an off grid solution out in the middle of nowhere, in the Sierra Nevada foothills. These guys were so extremely helpful, to the point of trying to help me avoid costs by giving me ideas to try before they rolled out there. After having them out to diagnose and replace the failed inverter, they follow-up with a complete system report regarding the overall health of the system. Way beyond what I was expecting. I cannot recommend them strongly enough. Down to earth and very capable folks!

Aaron and his crew have been very attentive and professional. And even after our purchase have been available for questions or help troubleshooting. Absolutely would recommend 💯! …

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“California residents and businesses since 2017. phone_in_talk 530-552-0266…”

  • Years in business

“check DECADES OF EXPERIENCE: With over 33 years of combined expertise in solar and…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

  • It posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
