Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Houston area. Across Texas, 330 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 52 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I had our Solar System installed by KW solar some four years ago. They were prompt in returning phone calls and support until last year. Since than I have been calling, emailing them about our system not generating any electricity without any reply back. I don't even know if they are in business any more. Beware of small solar companies, you don't know if they will be in business after five years or so! Since my last review, I got a call immediately by Justin of KW Solar and my issues were immediately resolved in a professional manner. They even reimburse for the Loss of Power generation. I co

I hired KW solar two years ago and I must say I was very impressed by the sales pitch. Unfortunately its been a nightmare since then. I pay more in electricity now than before I went solar. After months of emails and phone calls I was finally told that one of my inverters wasn't working. AND THEN...... the tech said sometimes salesmen lie. I paid for a 96% system and it doesn't even cover 50% of usage. I lost a lot of money and hope you don't make the same mistake I did. Choose another company!

My house burnt to the ground. A year later when almost completed I noticed my very large solar system was not working. Ted came out and assessed the problems and sent me the fix for insurance. They never questioned anything and Ted had my system upgraded and running in no time. Having a tortuous initial solar experience Ted with KW Not only had me up and running, he also followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied. Service was excellent, KW Solar saved my system. I’m extremely grateful for the time and effort. KW will be taking me to the next level shortly. Don’t hesitate, on the fence ca

Today I had my solar inverter replaced by KW Solar. The installer, Dion, did a fantastic, professional job overall and fixed my solar system within a couple hours. I have been very pleased overall with my solar system installed 8 years ago. My May bill totaled $11. Very nice since everything else is skyrocketing. Thanks Dion for the great work.

5 stars plus on these folks. 6 years in my 32 panel system quit communicating with the mother ship. long story short the original installer went belly up and we are we are very rural so nobody wants to come all the way out here so we had a hard time finding a company to service our system. 14 months later I had gone through 2 companies that could not find the problem and I found KW Solar. They found the problem and got me up and running. Melody is great got a service tech out here within the week, then got the folks at Enphase to reboot my system. We are selling our place here and when we get

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“KW Solar is an electrical contractor licensed in the State of Texas, TDLR# 40529…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
