Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Austin. Across Texas, 371 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 226 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Do NOT use them. My house had panels put on two different sides of the house. The installers punctured my roof and I got leaks resulting in MOLD in my attic and ceiling. When I called lighthouse they quoted me $1000 for 1 side to remove the panels?? On a mistake they made. Would not recommend

I went with them for a $140k solar + battery install, thinking that they’re the most experienced in town and would have the fewest headaches. Well, the install was completed months ago, they have my money, and now we’re mired in inspection failures that are dragging out the startup date by four months (assuming we even pass the next inspection). It seems like the sort of stuff the leading solar company in this region should’ve had figured out in advance. My project manager only seems to send me updates and make progress on the inspection failures when I get tired of waiting and ask him what’s

I am in process of getting solar installed and getting it to work. Installation was delayed for months and finally done 3 weeks ago, no update since then. Project manager (Dale) does not pick up the phone or has any update on date. Immediately contact me and finish my project ASAP.

Ali and the team provided great service from the first phone call to the actual repair service. The offered transparent pricing which was extremely reasonable. Another company tried to charge me six times what Lighthouse quoted me for the same service. Thank you Lighthouse for being a honest company with integrity when everyone else is trying to scam the customer.

Despite being late to place my order and having several other customers in the same situation, this company went above and beyond to complete my installation before the expiration of tax credits on December 31st. I am incredibly grateful to the entire team. The sales team creatively suggested a location for my panels that required no tree trimming. The installation team was exceptionally professional. I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend Lighthouse Solar.

Five stars are not enough for Lighthouse Solar. Not only are they professional, courteous, and respond quickly, they really go above and beyond. We unfortunately had our solar installed by a company that went out of business and completely stopped returning our calls and emails, regardless of our warranty status. Enphase referred us to Lighthouse Solar to try to resolve our issue. Not only did they resolve our issue, they did it quickly. I cannot attest to how their pricing compares to others, but their workmanship and professionalism are worth it, even if someone else could offer the service

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“increasingly researching: Long-term warranty support Financial stability of…”
  • Years in business

“full service Service Department with over 20 years of experience. We work on all solar…”

Its website also mentions financing, free estimate, established and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
