  ***Updated 9/27: Back to One Star. Since 8/27, only one person from this company has done anything to help resolve my issues. Instead they've punted me to several other companies who aren't very responsive. I'm very disappointed at Midwest Solar's handling of the problems they created by hiring and using subpar contactors. Now I'm stuck with a poorly functioning solar system and dealing with companies who seem to be more interested in pointing at each other than resolving the problem. *** Updated 8/27: Since the original review, I've received improved responses from the company and I am satisf

  The sales person turned absolutely awful after a couple weeks. When the electric was done they burned out 2 tvs,a Xbox 1, refrigerator and the stove twice. I replaced it once and it cost me close to $300 and it’s out again. My electric was supposed to be a total upgrade and it wasn’t until it burned up more things leaving my house smelling like burnt wires and the person they sent out to fix it even stated he was the roofer guy not a electrician. A horrible experience having this done wishing I would have never had it done. I gave 2 friends a referral but went back and told them not to do it!!

  We had our panels installed in February. They are still not activated. The installers did not get the proper permits so the final county inspection cannot happen. It has taken us months to get some sense of what happened, and we only we able to do that through talking to Cook County, who have been more responsive and more helpful than Midwest Solutions. We have made calls, texts, emails to Midwest Solutions. Our sales rep is the only person who talks to us and just keeps saying he's forwarding our messages on. No one in management has ever responded or reached out to us. I would be very wary o

  If you're considering solar, ask for Matt Rau with Midwest Solutions. I honestly can't recommend him enough. From the very beginning, Matt was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely interested in helping us make the right decision—not just making a sale. He worked with both my mother and me, answered every question we had, and never once made us feel rushed or pressured. We were able to text him at just about any time, and he always responded quickly with honest, detailed answers.
