Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in the Austin area. Across Texas, 284 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 83 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I installed solar panels with Native Solar in spring 2017. While the sales/design team were pleasant to work with, communication was lacking during project execution. The PM was hard to reach. Knowing what I've learned now my options were never explained to me with tracking solar production. Up to this year the system has worked well. Earlier this year my tracking app stopped tracking production. Long story short they have not been very responsive to my inquiries, requiring multiple follow up emails/texts. My only option seems to be after paying for a complete system to include being able to s

You better hope nothing goes off line or breaks (especially with out your knowledge) cause they’ll charge you $300 just to send someone to look at your system and then tack on $175 an hour for repairs on top of that. They also won’t give you updates or inform you what they’re doing or when they’ll come back, ya gotta keep bugging them for information. I’ve had my system for two years, it was offline for 3 months and I had no clue. Solar is a scam, yall.

We currently have over 60 solar panels, which we have had for over 10 years. These work well. However, we had an enphase system installed to help power our house during power outages. Unfortunately, this system has failed us every time we have had a power outage. My husband just spent about 1 hour outside in the rain on the phone with support trying to trouble shoot the problem, but didn’t have much luck. We only got our power back when power was restored in our neighborhood. We could see that our neighbors generac systems were hard at work and they had no problems with their backup system. If

I had 4000 watts added to my existing off grid 7800 watts because 2023 was SOOOOO hot that the generator ran over 100 hours during the summer. Last year San Antonio had 75 100+ days. This year, SA only had 25 100+ days but my generator didn't come one once to refill the batteries. When Native Solar designed my system to add in the 4000 watts, they included removing my 4800 watt inverter and replacing it with a 15,000 watt inverter. It might be a bit too much inverter BUT I see improvements. I have a sensor (TING) on my electric system that monitors voltage and spikes and brownouts. Before the

Native Solar did an outstanding job from start to finish! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add solar to their house.

Sergio from Native came out and did a health check on my system, fixed a few things, got me running on the Generac app, and we did an off grid test. He did a great job! Thank you, Sergio and Native.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“As a trusted solar company in Texas since 2007, NATiVE Solar has delivered smart,…”

Its website also mentions warranty, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
