Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 25 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

They were fast and professional, removed and reinstalled my solar system so I could get my roof redone.

Our solar panels are Tesla. When we needed to temporarily remove them for roof replacement, Tesla was difficult to navigate, so we went with New York Solar Maintenance. We still had to get parts from Tesla to maintain our warranty. That was a nightmare, but NYSM was a great partner in this. The crew that uninstalled and reinstalled the panels were great. It was clear that they were knowledgeable, thorough, and committed. Communication between them and the other members of the team was excellent, and there was a real team spirit that made interacting with them a pleasure. It has only been a mon

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on HomeAdvisor and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Utica is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
