Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Vermont. Across Vermont, 14 of the 28 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 4 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Vermont whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Power Guru is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Installed panels on farm house and making plans for larger barn installation. Power Guru is the best around. Professional, reliable, friendly, price competitive, and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a net metering solar system installed at our home in Peru, VT. Bhima is incredibly knowledgeable, presented us with all of our options, and handled everything with Green Mountain Power! His crew was very professional and the final product looks great and operates perfectly. Phil Easton & Heidi Chua

Power Guru installed our ground based 3 kw system and we liked it so much that we expanded with a second installation of 2kw on our south facing roof. Along with that we had them coordinate that installation with a solar hot water system, also on the roof. So now we happily cover all our needs with net metering and have added our daughter to our net metering group. The system has been working very well for several years now.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
