Its one and two star share is 10 points above the typical installer in Vermont. Across Vermont, 10 of the 28 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 266 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Chaotic, missed appointments, long delays, suprises in pricing, instructions to demo areas of our house (that changed multiple times in emails), and long delays in connecting us to service. Once connected, saw no batteries online, I was brushed off by personnel online, and when I finally had enough, someone showed up at our home and found out the batteries were provisioned to the wrong account. That wasn't a good situation for us. We're happy we're through it. Proceed with caution, they don't have good organization with new owners.

I rarely leave a bad review for business however, this company truly is deserving! Years ago, I signed up for solar share program and also encouraged my parents to do the same. What a mistake! Their billing was always very hard to follow and I never really knew if I was getting what I was promised. I suppose I just trusted the company. Fast-forward to June of this year, they had a big billing issue and all of its customers got billed nearly $600 in one month because they had missed some automatic payments. Now clearly this is a big deal for some people as 600 is a lot! I was just frustrated so

Initial installation - I asked to put enough panels to overproduce electrocity. They. calculated wrong; I still had electricc bill. If I wanted more panels, I had to pay for new other equipment as well. Then - Solar panels stopped working before warranty was up; they did not even send anyone out, warranty was not honored. When I called them and asked them to send someone out for money, they said they would call me back. Still waiting for that call. Yeah, and still paying off those non working panels on my roof… Edit after the reply to me since I cannot reply to their reply: NO, my system is mo

We had Suncommon install our huge rooftop system roughly a year ago. While installation went well, and the crew were courteous and professional... our system has had multiple problems. After less than 6 months, one of our two inverters went bad, knocking out 2/3rds of our entire system. It went unnoticed for a couple months. I monitor the system myself since Suncommon does not, and I had assumed the loss in production was due to snow cover. Suncommon replaced the inverter once the problem was finally discovered. ( I also get the sense we got some outdated equipment installed, because every tim

We received highly professional service from SunCommon from the initial sales contact with Nick to the implementation overseen by Jake. They were flexible in dealing with our complicated schedule, were quick to respond to our queries, and delivered exactly what they promised. The installation crew were efficient, courteous and knowledgeable.

We purchased and had two Franklin storage batteries installed at our house. We did so to provide us with power for the house during power outages. The team at Sun Common did a great job with all aspects of the process.

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
