Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Hilo. Across Hawaii, 50 of the 87 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in Hilo, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★75%

Each mark is one company we hold in Hilo whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. ProVision Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Provision Solar has done an excellent job for us. Our salesman Brandon was very helpful with selecting, designing and optimizing a new system for our farm needs. The engineering, permitting and design team was terrific about communicating and updating us on changes, milestones and scheduling. We were very impressed with the solar team installation team; a very professional and hard working crew. Thanks for getting our installation done ahead of schedule.

I was kept up to date with the timing without having to call, Provision was proactive on customer service, always providing next steps and needed information, keeping one step ahead of the project. 100% happy

Offered a great rate for solar installation. Provided great customer service. Responded timely and clearly explained the process. From beginning to the end was very professional. Truly appreciate them and the workmanship they provided to me and my family. Highly recommend Provision Solar for anyone's solar needs.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
