Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 14 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around August 2025

Darren was exactly on time, efficient and you would not have even known he was there other than perfectly clean solar panels.

Pure Blue Solar is in a class of its own. I received outstanding service. Darren was outstanding. His attention to detail was outstanding. I highly recommend pure blue solar cleaning.

  • 5★ · around August 2025 · the company replied

I needed my solar panels cleaned and a friend recommended Darren. And he was great! Prompt, responsive, and did a good job cleaning my panels. The prices were really reasonable and he was able to come out within a few days and got the job done quickly. Thanks Darren!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“solutions, backed by our 5 year warranty. Our humane deterrents keep birds,…”

  • Years in business

“Hello, I'm Darren Shrum, and I bring over 20 years of experience in the service industry…”

  • Insured

“and greener. As a licensed and insured company, you can trust us to provide…”

  • Licensed

“our planet cleaner and greener. As a licensed and insured company, you can trust us…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and family owned, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. San Juan Capistrano is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
