Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in Oregon. Across Oregon, 50 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 25 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

These people talked a good talk when their 2 salesmen came over after being referred to by a co-worker of mine and their pep talk including telling my husband that they promise that the monthly payment would never increase. They lied! And …

I circled the block that Google claims the business is on three times and I couldn't find this place. When I tried to call them, their automated phone system made it clear to me that this place doesn't deal with regular everyday joes and their questions on solar panels for their DIY projects. Don't waste your time with them and pick a different company.

Purelight has been great to work with with only one issue. I've been walked through the entire experience well and in general everyone has been really polite. The only issues I had was when the city came to do the inspection the correct information wasn't left by the company, so that had to be rescheduled. I also was frustrated with the shut off box being large and directly at the front of my house. It's a huge eye sore. I was given a diagram of where the solar panels would be, but I wasn't told this giant grey box with another small box and tubing would all be at the front of my house. Some c

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing, warranty and 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Pinterest, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
