Its one and two star share is 40 points above the typical installer in Columbus. Across Ohio, 9 of the 113 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

Purelight power is an absolutely terrible company! We hired them to install solar panels on our roof, which was done quickly, but in the wrong places where we agreed to place them. They said they could not fix their mistake because they have now drilled holes into our roof and they had to stay there. They offered ONE free panel to make up for their mistake but then we had to buy 2 more because 3 have to be installed together to get the same amount of power we originally agreed upon. Since then, they never connected the panels to the Tesla app correctly and have been showing no productivity in

Diego and the workers were really great! The installation was completed in 5 hours. Everyone was very professional and answered all my questions, since then it's been 5 weeks of excuses and delays and I'm still not hooked up to producing solar power. .

Gar from PureLight was an absolute joy to conduct my solar panel review post-turning on. He was very knowledgeable, relatable, and explained the system and the app in a way that was easy to digest. I am extremely confident in my decision to go solar, specifically with PureLight. Give this man a raise!

Made good on what they said they would do. So far they have bent over backwards to right many of the issued Solgen produced or failed to uphold.

They were extremely professional and the installation was extremely quick! We couldn’t be happier with the panels and how it will impact our property and electric bill. The whole process to convert to solar was very easy with Pure light power

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing, warranty and 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Pinterest, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
