The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 37 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Not sure how you removed my last review. This company is horrible. Multiple electrical code violations throughout our home. Bath fan not wired correctly, the hookup for the outside generator was wrong which would have destroyed all the appliances; if we had started up the generator. No grounding rods in the ground. No proper grounding to the copper water lines. And the list goes on and on. We have spent over $2,500 out of pocket to fix all of the terrible work from this company. We worry every night that there is going to be an electrical fire because of all the shortcuts Tim's company took. I

We were referred to Power Up after attending a class about rooftop solar through the Columbus Garden School. It was important to us to find a well-established local company to install rooftop solar and battery storage. Tim came out quickly after the referral and helped us find a system that works best for our home. We were also pleased that Power Up carries the exact brand of battery that our research pointed us toward. Tim and his crew handled all of the behind the scenes work. While we had to be more proactive about communication than we would have liked, we are pleased with the end result.

Contacted Power Up late on a Saturday night and by first thing Sunday morning they had contacted me and helped me solve what ended up being a self-created problem. 10/10 for responsiveness and top notch customer service!

Power Up Renewable Energy exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process of switching to solar energy. From start to finish, the team was professional, accommodating, and detail-oriented.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“serving the state of Ohio. With over 30 years of experience, we specialize in…”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on HomeAdvisor. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
