Its one and two star share is 42 points above the typical installer in Colorado Springs. Across Colorado, 8 of the 216 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 24 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Be careful with this company. We agreed to have solar installed in October 2021. They immediately came out and dug a trench from our barn to our house and then because of continuous engineering delays left the trench in our yard for over 6 months creating a winter hazard for us. During this time of extensive delays our situation changed and we had to sell our home - asking to receive a refund for our partial 6k down payment. We were told 1k would be returned - keeping 5k for themselves for no work completed other than the trench and engineering communication - no parts were ordered or further

I called to ask if they install surge protectors and he said to go to the yellow pages... then Bye Bye and hung up on me!

I have been calling for months and no one will return my calls. When I do speak with someone, you get a truck load of excuses as to why no one has called you back and fulfilled your request. Please don't go with this company, they are terrible with customer service. If I could give them a half star I would have.

Lotus at Rocky Mountain Solar and Wind was so very helpful to me. I struggled to find a company that would service and upgrade my 30 year old off grid solar system. Lotus gave me a lead to a Denver company that was much closer to my location without an extended milage charge. I received next day service with Lotus's referral! Marvelous customer service!!!

This is a great company. I can understand why interfacing with the owner Lotus can be a little bumpy, but after going through the entire process of having my panels removed and replaced to facilitate roof repair, I'm very pleased with their thoroughness, kindness, affordability and efficiency. Due to outdated Right Wing regulations and laws, solar is mired in red tape, out of state companies, punitive and restrictive loans etc, but Rocky Mountain Solar made dealing with this or avoiding these pitfalls very easy. Joe, the primary installer is an incredible guy. I highly recommend this company o

We had a great experience with Lotus and his team! They were patient with us, thorough in explanations, and professional with every inch of the installation. We had to change our set-up more than once (thanks to hail and a new roof, then the purchase of a plug-in vehicle) and the group dealt with those challenges beautifully. They walked us through a variety of city requirements and tax paperwork, and we are delighted with the production of the system. It's so great to see the level of CO2 emissions we are saving, easy to view on the ap after the solar panels are up and running. I have read a

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“and repaired solar energy systems since 1975, and wind systems since 2002. We…”

  • Years in business

“and has been a licensed builder for over 32 years with experience in a large variety of…”

Its website also mentions licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

  • It posts on X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
