Its one and two star share is 17 points above the typical installer in Florida. Across Florida, 106 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Check with manufacturer and discovered that battery at this location was nearly 3 years old instead of the 3 months old I was told. Not worth buying at any price.

Installed oversized A/C unit. Unit kept freezing up. Fan very noisy. Unresponsive to complaints. Would never use them again.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Tried contacting them for 7 days straight. Christine would answer and say “Bob” would call back. Haven’t heard a thing.

I am somewhat torn as to giving them a 3 as they would be a 5 if communication was just par. Unfortunately communication before, during after sale has been poor. I had went by their office and set up a time for Bob(owner) to come look at our situation and asked that I get a call to confirm. No call so I call and talked to Lynn. They had nothing on the schedule even though I had filled out contact paperwork. This was resolved and Bob made it out and was very friendly and took the time to answer my questions, estimate back the same day. Scheduled installation after paying for parts, had to resch

SALT Power did an exceptional job with the design of the system, permitting and installation. A very professional job!!!!

Salt Energy has been fantastic. We had a solar system installation by another company, after a while I noticed a problem when going off grid. The roof would stop producing. I tried to get the other company to address the issue for over four months. No response other then they didn’t know the problem and they were busy and could not give a date of when they would come out. I called SALT Energy and the showed up the same day. They stayed in contact and addressed problem to my satisfaction. I highly recommend them and will use them again if I have any Solar needs. Stephen Patten

Very professional and accommodating to my needs in my off the grid system.

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • solar panels 3
  • communication 2

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“for complex or remote systems and warranty services, as needed. In addition to…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, established and years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
