The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 278 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

New photos of exposed wiring that's been a hazard since the poorly done 'final install' on 4/4. Please view the BBB complaint to see my responses and fully understand the misrepresentation presented in the response. From BBB review- Long Story Short: Sandboxs install almost burned my house down on 2/26/26. It's 6/20 and it's not resolved, and I'm being forced to turn to public reviews and the BBB due to lack of response from the company for well over a month. The last communication from Sandbox Solar outside the BBB was on 5/13/26 calling me a liar (which the Weld County Inspector would debate

Whoever's in the loaded down crew cab F-450 flatbed cutting people off going 80 through the construction on I-25 and crossing the white line in the Curve nearly hitting me with your company logo on the truck should probably be removed from your crew. Happened at 6/16/26 3:56 p.m. If they work like they drive is not going to stand up to the rest of these reviews here anyway.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I had a bad experience. When we signed the contract in early July of 25', we were given a 120-day lead-time. As the date approached, we were told it was now going to be 150 day lead-time. This was problematic because of the expiring tax credits. We hired them based on the 120-day timeframe. After applying pressure on the installation date, which should have been around November 10th. I received an email in mid-November with four available dates during the week of Thanksgiving. I replied two hours later with my preferred installation date. I got an email back tha

I chose Sandbox Solar after getting a few different quotes from solar companies, ultimately choosing Sandbox because (1) their installs looked a little "cleaner"/prettier than others and (2) they were a local Fort Collins company. Their costs were better for a small system, but were more expensive for a larger system (Apollo was the most economical choice). The salesperson was generally pretty attentive and answered questions within a couple of days of an email. I ended up getting a 9.66kW system for $35k. My main issue was that communication with Sandbox was absolutely HORRIBLE. I was told up

Sandbox Solar installed a heat pump and new gas furnace (dual-fuel setup) in our 80-year-old home. The installers, Tyler and Rowan, treated our home like it was their own. They were conscientious and professional and walked us through key decision points. We also needed significant electrical upgrades, and the electrical team, Wyatt and Alex, did an outstanding job working with the challenges of our older home. We are now considering the installation of a tankless water heater and intend to work with Sandbox Solar again.

The team from sandbox that did our solar panel installation was great. Wyatt let us know everything that was going to happen, and did the electric work on the ground. Tony and his team on the roof were fantastic. Tony even painted the conduit on the roof and the wall to match. It looks great.

The Blue team did a terrific job! Ryan, Eric and Jesse were true professionals and a great team to work with!👍 …

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“troubleshooting.  KNOWING YOUR WARRANTY If your equipment is still under its…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
