Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in the Fort Collins area. Across Colorado, 100 of the 216 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 24 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Fort Collins area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sandbox Solar LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Had them out to our house to look at install options. Tried emailing and calling the rep for 3 weeks with no response at all. If this is the level of service you get when trying to plan a project and give them money I can’t imagine it gets any better once you’ve already paid a 50% deposit… Maybe this is just a staffing issue but if they lack the capacity to respond to simple customer emails and phone calls that says a lot about the operation. They also were unable to even offer a solution (after 3 weeks of silence) for a system with a backup generator and solar panels. This sort of system is f

My old installer went out of business so when we had trouble with our inverter I gave Sandbox Solar a call and couldn’t have been more helpful. Sam a technician helped me get it back on line over the phone with no charge. Great service and very knowledgeable.

We could not be happier with our experience with Sandbox Solar. Ian, GJ and AJ were great through the entire process. They are a smaller company that has provided us with exceptional customer service. Ian was always available to answer questions on the phone, through text, or email. Their installation crew was friendly and professional. Not only did Sandbox Solar have a better price, but other companies told us the process would take 4-6 months, and Sandbox Solar had our system up and producing energy in less than a month! We would highly recommend them if you are considering going solar.

We live in Evans and after a bad hailstorm needed roof repairs but the company that leases us our solar panels wouldn't come out to remove them for the roofers until next summer. I called and spoke with GJ at Sandbox, he was so helpful and I got an estimate from him for my insurance company the same day. He put us on their schedule for the very next week. There were some delays due to working with the roofers and the weather and GJ always kept me in the loop, and still finished the project in a reasonable timeframe. If I ever need help with my solar panel array again, this company is the only

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
