Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in the Salinas area. Across California, 621 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 24 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Salinas area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Santa Cruz Renewables is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

2026 Update: Unfortunately, the ECU that transmits my system’s performance data to the monitoring app has failed. I’ve reached out to Jacy multiple times via text and followed up repeatedly, even offering to pay for the necessary repairs, but I haven’t received a solution or meaningful assistance. I understand that the focus may be on new installations, but it’s disappointing to be unable to get support for an existing customer after 6+ years. Ongoing service and responsiveness are important considerations when choosing a solar installer. ———————————- Santa Cruz Renewables /Jacy and Team did a

Jacy did a great job. Professional and communicated well. Im happy with how everything turned out.

Jacy installed an Enphase solar system with backup batteries in my home. He is a very knowledgeable, boutique type installer. Exactly what I was looking for. I did not want several partially skilled people on my roof. Jacy is that artist that works with you to provide what you need. If you value this white glove touch with a skilled and pleasant to work with highly competent and qualified person, give Jacy a call.

We had an excellent experience with Jacy from Santa Cruz Renewables. From start to finish, Jacy was amazing—super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We decided to install solar panels on our home, and Jacy guided us through the entire process seamlessly. In addition to the solar installation, he also helped us connect our Swim Spa, showcasing his electrical expertise. The team was reasonably priced, efficient, and truly committed to getting the job done right. I highly recommend Santa Cruz Renewables for anyone in need of solar services—they are the best!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
