Its one and two star share is 31 points above the typical installer in Florida. Across Florida, 37 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I had a system installed by SEM power quite a few years ago and it has been impossible to get service on it. It mostly still works but the only phone number for the company is an answering service and emails are not replied to. Not sure they are still in business.

My experience with SEM POWER was a very good one! I was very pleased that they did what was expected in the time frame they told me to expect it done. The quality of the installation that was done was not to be rivaled by anyone. ( I retired from a public utility and know the basic rules.) We are now enjoying our Solar PV system and feel confidant that if we do encounter a problem SEM POWER will stand behind their work and the products they sell. THANK YOU SEM POWER!

The crew from SEM Power was fantastic! They arrived when promised and completed the job in one day. They installed 32 PV panels that look really awesome on my roof. Everyone involved was professional and courteous and explained everything to me as the job progressed throughout the day. The SolarEdge Inverter works perfectly and I can monitor my production either at home or remotely on my cell phone. I have a 9.12kw system and on a perfectly clear, sunny day, the panels have been producing over 50 kilowatts! More than enough to handle my electricity demand. And a big 'thank you' to Chris Rollit

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau, ConsumerAffairs and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • The website on this company's Google listing does not resolve to a working page, so we do not link it.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
