Smart Solar Energy

Each mark is one company we hold in Portland whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Smart Solar Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

initially they energetically engaged with me and when i was interested they would string me along and then go quiet. I reached out to them a few times and someone came to my house and then they just ghosted me again.

We invested ~$20,000 in solar expecting it would offset most, if not all, of our electric bill, but that has not been the outcome. The system itself appears to be producing as designed; the issue is how the system size and expectations were presented during the sales process, without any written proposal or offset modeling provided beforehand. We had only been in our home for a couple of months when we explored solar. We shared that we work from home and were planning to purchase an EV, yet no detailed modeling or documentation outlining expected usage, production, or offset was ever provided

Very great communication, extremely responsive during all phases of the project. I was not hard sold at all, I felt like they wanted my best interest more than other solar companies I talked to. So far very happy with the production.

Every aspect of my experience with Smart Solar was terrific. Phone calls were answered by a human who could answer my questions. In the event that I needed to leave a voice mail I was called back the same day. Emails were responded to almost immediately. Every aspect from initial site evaluation to final inspections was carried out on schedule. Tutorial on the app was patient and friendly. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend without reservation.

I'm so glad I went with Smart Solar Energy. They were professional, responsive, communicative, and everyone was very knowledgeable in their field. I had questions throughout the process and I received prompt answers and assistance. They kept me informed of every step in the process, sticking to the timeline for a successful install. I'm so grateful for their professionalism and service!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
• —Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Portland is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
