Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Columbus. Across Ohio, 49 of the 113 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Columbus whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Is Your Edge is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I have known Jonathan for two years now. He had no need to continue and help me with questions regarding solar, I was no longer his client but turns out he cares more about helping people (as friends) even though he has moved on to another company. Jonathan continues to watch over his clients/friends well enough I have chosen to work with him to share the benefits of solar power.

Thank you all so much for your help! Solar is Your Edge really knows their stuff about Solar Power. I had no idea what truly went into Solar Power generation until I talked with the staff @ Solar is Your Edge. If you're ever even slightly interested in taking control of your utility costs, look no further and give them a call! -Matt

Jonathan is a straight shooter who knows his solar. I've always wanted solar, but didn't think I could ever afford it. Little did I know, until I met with Jonathan, that it actually costs less to own my electricity than to rent it from the utility company, especially since the utility company seems to charge whatever they want, and just gets more expensive every year! I am retired and live on a fixed income as everything around me gets more expensive. It's nice to know exactly what my electricity will cost month after month, and it comes straight from the sun ☀️ It is beautiful to not be in de

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Angi, HomeAdvisor and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
