Solar Liberty

Every company we hold in New York whose Google breakdown has been read, grouped by their share of one and two star reviews. Solar Liberty is in the highlighted group.

I'm not a customer, nor would I ever be. Your employees drive and act recklessly. They almost drove me off the highway swerving back and forth between lanes trying to prevent people from merging. Mind you, I had already merged. If this is how they act in traffic I can't imagine them on a roof.

The solar panels work fine however the fact that our chimney casts a shadow over multiple panels makes them less valuable. I spoke to solar liberty shortly after realizing this issue while monitoring production to be told it would cost more money to move them and they couldn't go on a different slope (this was a blatant lie). After sales customer service in my opinion is terrible.

I had my system installed 4/2023 and noticed that the system is short by 25% of my energy usage and the panels only covered 3/4 of the section roof they are on (13 panels). I called to add 4 panels to make up the difference and they wanted to charge me 2x the cost of what I payed for the original panels. I ask them to fill the roof when they were originally quoted and was told they couldn't do it. Make sure they put up enough panels, doing it later is ridiculous. They also had no interest to work with me and would not work with price even though they are selling me panels of solar panel compan

We had Solar Liberty install solar panels on our pole barn 10 months ago. The process from sales to permitting to installation to utility approval went smoothly. Communication with them has always been very good. Every team member that we have encountered has been knowledgeable and helpful. The Enlighten app is very informative. We're very happy that we chose Solar Liberty for our solar panels!

Excellent Solar Installer--was recommended to me, and will be recommended to others. Initially, Solar Liberty was cheaper than other quotes. First star. Then, they were incredibly responsive to emailed questions/requests. Second star. For installation, they coordinated with my availability and promptly completed the project. Third star. After installation, they quickly diagnosed a manufacturing issue with the inverters, obtained new ones, installed them, and fixed the issue. Fourth star. Finally, they've been very professional throughout. Fifth star. Couldn't be happier with the install

System has been working well. Small hiccup when turned on one micro inverter not reporting. Was a plug issue, fixed and sorted out quickly. Sales, install, service was great. The project management left some to be desired. That's the only reason for the 4 instead of 5 rating. Ultimately it got worked through and everything has been great.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
