I went to the website and requested a quote and never heard anything, I guess he must not be interested in new business.

Shawn & team at Sota Solar: Making dreams come true! Spring 2026 I came up with my wish list for my new-to-me 2005 Lazy Daze RV. Major solar upgrade, yes, but can he do this ... and this ... and even this? You bet! Love my new 12 volt fridge and air conditioning and a new skylight. (Find out more on the solar and electrical upgrades on the Sota Solar YouTube channel.) I spend 99 percent of my time off grid. So these changes are perfect for a worry-free, full-time RV lifestyle. I highly recommend Sota Solar, whether your off grid dreams are big or little!

Shawn and the team at Sota RV Solar were incredible. Despite it being their busy season, they squeezed us in at the last minute, immediately diagnosed and fixed our battery issues, and even took care of a few other repairs around the van. We were back on the road within an hour! Everyone was exceptionally friendly, kind, and clearly knew their stuff. It’s rare to find this combination of genuine hospitality and technical competence. Couldn’t recommend Shawn and Sota RV Solar more highly!

UPDATE: The review below was 11 months ago when Shawn, at Sota RV Solar, completed A full Solar Setup in our RV. We are full Time RVers and he was great! We recently had an issue we couldn't figure out and called him. He was able to remotely access our system and analyze what we were experiencing. It turned out to be a battery issue. We were going to be in the area the following week and he made time on the day we could be there. We were in and out in under 2 hours and back on the road. To have someone like Shawn make himself available for customers like us on the road? That speaks volumes. He

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions warranty, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • Google also lists this company under tutoring.
    • It posts on YouTube. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
