Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Columbus. Across Ohio, 49 of the 113 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Columbus whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. South Side Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

I give my highest recommendation to Kurt Dieringer, owner of South Side Solar. Kurt installed solar panels on my house and the savings have been exceptional. His great work ethic and follow up on the project was a very positive result of our business association.

Working with Kurt and the team at South Side Solar was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The entire project went smoothly, and Kurt guided us through every step with patience and expertise. He was incredibly responsive and had a genuine talent for explaining complex details in a way we could easily understand. We’re thrilled with the results — we received our first negative electric bill shortly after installation! The monthly savings more than cover the loan, making this one of the smartest decisions we’ve ever made. We couldn’t recommend South Side Solar highly enough! -Frazier

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
