    Last year, SunPower installed solar panels on my home. During the installation, the crew cut into my drywall to gain access to the attic. At the time, the technician assured me that SunPower would repair any damage and properly reseal the attic once the installation was complete. After the installation, I contacted the technician, who submitted a work order on my behalf. I was eventually contacted by the work order team and given two options: either SunPower could arrange for a contractor to complete the repairs, or they could send me a reimbursement check for $299.00 so I could hire my own co

    Warning: This company removed my solar panels in April, took my full payment, and has missed their 2-week reinstallation timeline by months. They answer the phone with constant excuses but refuse to return my property or complete the job.

    SunPower took over responsibility for a solar account my elderly father was sold by Sunder Energy in June 2024, and the way that sale was made is the problem. A salesperson promised my father — a senior in his 70s — that his payment would never rise, that a battery would back up his home for two days, that his electric bills would end, and that he'd get annual surplus checks. The salesperson operated my father's computer and completed the signing himself, without letting him read the agreement. The promises didn't hold: the payment was never fixed and there was no real backup. More than two ye
