Its one and two star share is 13 points above the typical installer in Bakersfield. Across California, 280 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 353 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Horrible don’t get them, on top Of paying 215 a month my electricity bill Is 300 same thing it would have been without the damn panels usually the cold months I would pay 80 dollars to pge and know I pay the 80 to Pge and on top of that the panels worst decision ever made, those people that go knock on your door ignore them they lie and lie promised incentives make it sound like it’s the best thing it ain’t if you don’t own them it’s not a good idea, on top of that they double charged me month of may because they say I didn’t pay the month of November!! Be aware if anything goes wrong with your system after installment, they will charge you $500 just for coming out. Oh and let’s just hope whatever the issue the panels are having are covered under “warranty”. These solar companies are very sneaky. Now I’m forking over $500 I don’t have right now, and my panels are not paid off still 44,000 in debt 😭😭😭😭. I was told they would be sending someone very soon to replace the piece that was not working and they never showed up. I’ve emailed them 2X called 2X. I have 49 panels 😩I’m only generating 50% of the energy I was promised. This is a comple

Very Professional Install and process from start to finish! Amazing team they have and great job! Fernando was Great! My wife and I were not happy with the current solar that was on the house and Fernando came over after helping a coworker of mine. He was very knowledgeable and broke down our power usage compared to system we already had. He was able to show multiple options and allowed my wife and I to pick the best one for our family. Hes very hands on and wasnt pushing us into anything we did not need. Overall very happy and we feel lucky to have Fernando as our Solar Guy!

From start to finish, great customer service. We will be saving thousands of dollars a year by adding panels.

Jason Martinez is the reason I choose to work with Sunrun. Jason also helped my brother. The experience was effortless on my part. Jason took care of all the heavy lifting. Most importantly Jason informed me of each next step so there were no surprises. I highly recommend working with Jason!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“of contract, 5 year roof penetration warranty, 24/7 system monitoring Who…”
  • Free estimate

“Enter your zip to start your free quote Do you own your home? Yes No Next…”
  • 24/7 availability

“full service for life with 24/7 monitoring Sunrun Subscription Plan…”
  • Years in business

“for the energy your panels produce over 25 years—replacing part of your utility bill.”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
