Its one and two star share is 8 points above the typical installer in Palm Springs. Across California, 475 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 37 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Palm Springs whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sunrun is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 2★ · around August 2026 · the company replied

Everything has been difficult the whole way through. Nothing has been easy to get resolved, even to pay my monthly bill on the app and on the web site. So Frustrated!
  • 1★ · around July 2026 · the company replied

Horrible customer service even when trying to pay off your solar panels. Sent a big check over and they have spent over 2 weeks trying to figure out how to apply it to my account. Look elsewhere!

Two of their reps knocked on my door today. I was working. They kept knocking and ringing the doorbell. When I answered they were just hawking battery storage. They shouldn't even be here as our community has no soliciting signs. I'd never do business with salespeople this aggressive. Who would want to sign a contract with someone who is trespassing in your community? Not me that's for sure.

Ron Bautista Rancho Mirage Sunrun; did an excellent job explaining and walking me through the whole process.

We have had our Sunrun solar for 5 years, Ron Bautista recently performed our battery install, and I am very happy!!!!

The experience that we received from Ron Bautista and his team was amazing and effortless. They finished everything on time and it looked better than I would’ve ever expected. We have had it for almost 2 years and are very happy

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“of contract, 5 year roof penetration warranty, 24/7 system monitoring Who…”
  • 24/7 availability

“full service for life with 24/7 monitoring Sunrun Subscription Plan…”
  • Years in business

“demands and opportunities. With over 17 years of experience, Sunrun is the #1 home…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
