Tampa Bay Solar

Each mark is one company we hold in Tampa whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Tampa Bay Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Had solar install with this company a while back and they drilled holes in my room which is now leaking. Owner refused to address and stated its not their problem and was told to contact a roofing comapny. They will tell you everything you want to hear then basically ditch you.

They installed a tesla charger and used the wrong breaker amperage. Breaker melted. Talked to Tim and waiting for call back to see how they will proceed. Tim assured me they will address. To be continued.....

2025 Update: Due to an unfortunate incident, we had to replace our roof (under the solar panels), so needed the panels removed to complete the work. Called company, left several messages, NO response ☹️. VERY DISAPPOINTED Great experience with the installer, Fanez. System was installed in a timely manner and explained well. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with Tampa Bay Solar from start to finish. They installed solar on our home and really did their due diligence throughout the entire process, making sure everything was up to code, incorporating the latest equipment, and helping us maximize the number of panels we could install. The team was always on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely great to work with. They felt like true partners throughout the process rather than just installers. Huge shout-out to Pete, Josh, Frannie, and Francois, who all rocked it! They also patiently handled all of my husband’s very

You need solar and you need it installed by Tampa Bay Solar. They are incredibly professional and thorough with their install and service and work with you to fully understand what you are getting in a system and how to use it.

Spoke with Tim Patwell on the phone. Very knowledgeable with my inquiry. Talk to him if you need anything

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Veteran owned

“a veteran, I always seek to support veteran owned businesses when possible. Highly…”

• Warranty

“design to installation, support, and warranty service – everything is done…”

• Established

“a cleaner, more resilient Florida. Since 2010, Tampa Bay Solar has helped thousands…”

Its website also mentions financing and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
