Its one and two star share is 55 points above the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 7 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 7 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Rude solicitors. Came to our property even with a no soliciting sign up and banged on our door so hard and for so lang that they woke our baby.

I have yet to receive the referral fee. I was told it would take 8-12 weeks after installation we are now at 16 weeks and nothing

This company is trash. They came to my house at 8am ringing my doorbell for no apparent reason as i am the tenant and not the owner. Then parked in my driveway when i left out. Was told when i got back to move and they refused to which originally they were double parked. Then they said they would turn off electricity once for 20 mins. They did it twice without saying the second time while i was in the middle of my house cleaning and my daughter was asleep. Then while they was on the roof and i was sitting on my patio they started throwing metal sticks (pipes whatever it was and tool bags) poss

After much research and debate, we decided to go solar. Trinity Solar made this experience seamless. Our representative, Auki Hermes, walked us through the entire process and answered every single question we had. He also made us feel more comfortable to ask and discuss any concerns we had about the whole process. We've had a great experience with Trinity Solar and highly recommend them. JC & RM

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
