Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Long Beach area. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 4 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

This is a long overdue review but a year and a half later, we are still compelled to write our review. We wish we had known about Urban Energy before our solar panels were originally installed. Mark, Raul, Tim, and the entire team were wonderful to work with and helped restore our system to full operation. After several years, the original mounting brackets failed, resulting in a roof leak and mold issue. We were fortunate to find Urban Energy during our roof replacement. Their team carefully removed all 33 panels and worked closely with our roofing contractor to ensure a smooth, coordinated p

I had my solar system installed by another company. I called Mark to have some service done to it. What a difference! They are very knowledgeable and fairly priced. Do yourself a favor and call them first. You will get what you wanted the first time and won’t have to deal with the frustration of the other companies. I don’t typically like to refer people but in this case, I will. You won’t be disappointed.

We had our first heavy rain of the season yesterday and had water dripping out of the ceiling. I was sure that it was caused by the solar panel installation that Urban Energy Solar performed a couple of years ago. I called Mark Mendoza, the owner of UES at 5:00PM and explained the issue. He reacted immediately and had a crew out to our house at 8:00 AM the next day. As it turned out, the leak was not caused by the installation, but Mark had his roofer come up the very next day to fix the issue. I can't say enough about Mark and his company when it comes to quality of work, professionalism, int

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Family owned

“and businesses. As a locally and family-owned company, we specialize in complete…”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate, years in business, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
